This pair of replication capitals were carved for the Darnley Mausoleum at Cobham Hall in Kent, copying surviving capitals to replace those lost in the fire.

Carved in white Bianco Pi marble

Carved and shown here upside down.

Using the found photographic images, I made the initial drawings followed by the clay model here. After approval I progressed to carve the head in Portland stone. Completing the herm by installing upon the bust on-site.

Chiswick House, London.

The new copy installed like the original

within the plinth of the recently restored

Burlington Lane obelisk.
