Part of 'Art and the Travelling Landscape' - Luton National Cycle Network (NCN) Route 6 & Marsh Farm Loop.

Financed by Sustrans for 'Art in the Travelling Landscape'.

Poetry and quotes from local schoolchildren and John Hegley.

Unveiled with performance by John Hegley of: 'Luton Bungalow', 'Smilestones', accompanied by his own unique poetry.

The layers of the milestones representing the geological strata of the local area. Placed every 1/2 mile along an 8 miles stretch of the National Cycle Route within the Luton area.
